About this author by the author— I am lucky to live within the rugged, majestic mountains of the San Luis Valley of Southern Colorado along with the tumbleweeds, pinyon, and pronghorn. I have one dog and three cats that enjoy the wilds of the high country with me, and also, a husband…somewhere…sitting in the camper drinking coffee I think.
I grew up on a registered Angus ranch in Cleburne, Texas, riding my horse Trixie, and living in a haunted house, my second haunted house to inhabit in fact. It was these hauntings that nurtured my passion for monsters, aliens, ghosts, the supernatural, and all things that go-bump-in-the-night-for-no-reason.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education with concentrations in Journalism and English from the University of Texas in El Paso and my Masters in Reading from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas. I was editor of the Texas Professional Photographer magazine for ten years.
One of my favorite jobs was teaching young people to read and helping at-risk-students earn their high school diplomas. But then again, I also loved teaching drama and doing plays with my students. And sometimes, only sometimes, I miss all the trouble my journalism students and I seemed to attract doing underground newspapers. And I definitely miss the late night excursions to the Antioch Cemetery with my annual and newspaper staffs to look for ghosts and goat man.
The fictional story of Goatman appears in my newly released novella, Better Dig 2, Novella 4 of The Creep Mesquite Anthology.
I hope my readers enjoy my novellas as much as I enjoyed writing them and will follow me on my journey into other worlds meeting uncommon monsters and unlikely heroes.
